two blondes

Possibly one of the hottest men around and possibly one of the hottest woman around. Swoon. Swoon. She looks good in anything and he looks good on anything. I am not quite sure who I am more in love with in these photos. I am self-confessed True Blood addict and currently reading the 8th book whilst desperately waiting for season 3 to start so I can get my Eric fix. I am started to find the lines of the supernatural world a little fuzzy, and expect to see a viking vampire strolling (although I am not sure if vampires stroll, maybe glide would be a more appropriate term) around in London after dark.

I am ignoring the fact that I haven't posted anything on here in over a month.

the mean blues

dress I made, sunglasses Hamilton Island, backpack from ebay, boyfriends necklace

I have the traveling blues, and trying to fill the time. I'm jobless and penniless and living off the memories.

when the wind blows

I adore the simplicity of this outfit, the slightly loose fitting jean with the oh-so-white long sleeve t-shirt with its scoop neck and the way it hangs off the shoulder given a glimpse of the collarbone. How the sleeves are a couple of inches too long, so that they cover part of the hand giving that air of naivety. The chunky black strap of her watch and the way her single braid falls in her face. It reminds me that a simple white t-shirt with classic blue jeans can be the most stylish outfit of all.

We are all in the gutter but some of us are staring up at the stars

Title quote Oscar Wilde, 1st image Russh via fashioncanvas, 2nd Elizabeth Carruther via harper and harley, 3rd Le fashion

It has been 2 weeks and 2 days since I got home to London. It's a strange feeling coming home after being away, I feel like in the five months I have been gone everything and nothing has changed. Australia seems like a lifetime ago, a distant memory of somebody else's tale. A dream that I'm trying to hold onto but it slips away as the day goes on. The last week I was in Australia after we had booked our flight home, I tried to remember everything, the way everything looked and smelt and sounded, the feel of the sun on my back. I went over and over all my memories trying to store it all in my brain. When I was there I made all these promises to myself, I had felt like I had changed. But I guess the more things change the more things stay the same.

corona

old stripe top, h&m hat which is now wrecked cos I stuffed it in my suitcase too many times, Vintage rings

Tasty burito's washed down with some Corona in Kings Cross, Sydney. I swear I could eat mexican food everyday. I love home-made guacamole it's so much better than that jar shit and its so easy to make.
I seriously love this top but it has this wierd stain on it that you can only see in certain light, its coffee or something but it never stops me wearing it.

who's the where

Some more of the amazingness of Melbourne. I go back in a couple of weeks and I can't wait, it really is a wicked city. Walking around is a colourful experience with all the alleys filled with some of the best street art in the world.

I'm wearing a madonna vest my sister bought me and a black sarong skirt thing- which doesn't work that well when it's windy and I always end up either flashing or having to go change.
It's hard living out of a suitcase, I am bored of all my clothing, everything is always screwed up-me and the iron are just not friends.

there are no words just smells

So far 2010 has not been my best year at blogging, I have been in Australia since October and so far my 'blogging' (hate that word) has been sporadic at best. I have 2 blogs and I am sad to say that any internet time I have had dedicated to 'blogging' (seriously hate that word) has mostly been spent on my other blog COCONUT TRAVELS - and I am 2 months behind on that too. So please accept my sincere apologies and I hope that I can be a little more consistent with my posting on BLONDE ON BLACK .

I just got back from a magical trip to Fiji. It was absolutely beautiful, the sky was like a dream it had the most beautiful sunsets when the it would turn all kinds of shades of pink, and at sunrise it became a deep orange as the sun came up over the mountains. Each night there was countless stars in the midnight blue sky, and even on the rare occasion in the late afternoon when the usually bright blue sky became overcast it looked like it belonged to story about mythical creatures.

I am now in Sydney for the next 3 weeks so any Sydney-siders have any tips or must-do's please let me know, the Lonely Planet guide book is great but you can't beat inside advice.

Obviously the picture in this post are not from Fiji, the top and bottom photos are from London and the middle one is of the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted from Ganache in Melbourne. This is what I am craving right now, the sweetness tantalising my taste buds, the richness filling my mouth, the velvety texture satisfying my throat and the slightly sticky essence left behind on my lips tempting me for another sip. It's 9:30 am and all I can think of is HOT CHOCOLATE.

Melbourne

Hanging out in one of my new favourite cities. Melbourne is alive with backstreet culture, heaven for a foodie and a shoppers dream. Getting to grips with the indecisive weather and looking forward to tonnes more exploring.
